Batch Sparge!
I do most of my brews by batch-sparge, a no-muss, no-fuss all grain process. I was going to write a great big, giant post on batch sparging, but I realized that I really have nothing new or valuable to say, rather than to just offer my strong endorsement of the process. If you want to know all there is to know about it, check out what Denny has to say about it. He’s one of the webs most knowledgeable and vocal proponents of the technique, and does a much better job explaining it than I ever could certainly I’ll talk in the future about the process, but for a primer, just stick with Denny.

That is a great article…thanx for the link. I’ve got some ideas on how to do a better mash/lauter tun.
So the braid acts as the false bottom? That’s pretty cool. Beats the hell out of cutting slits in copper piping, which is what I’m having to do tonight.
Shoot…maybe I’ll just get a water supply line instead.
